How to request data

Using the web-shop

This part of the Italian Air Force Meteorological Service portal (meteoAM.it) is devoted to Climatology and the request of meteorological data or products of archive (hereinafter "archived data" or simply "data"). User soon can check availability and obtain estimate costs.

To make a request select one of the ways on the left menu or below:

• General search or "Ricerca generica" for fast searches suitable for any User;
• Advanced search or "Ricerca avanzata" specialized researches for use of experienced Users;
• Statistics or "Statistiche" for statistical data elaboration (next entry);
• Climatic indices or "Indici climatici" for calculation of weather and climate index (next entry);
• Free request or "Richiesta libera" for research or data not in catalogue, processing is longer.

System allows you to perform, even without registration, all activities aimed at searching data, checking availability and estimating costs. For real request and release of data, you must register through the form Registration (or "Registrazione") and you can utilize the form Cart (or "Carrello") to see the present order details.

For registration Users shall indicate the type of membership:

1. Private User (tax code);
2. Company (VAT/IVA);
3. Public Corporation;
4. Ministry of Defense, Civil Protection, Judicial Authority;
5. Regional Weather Services (legally recognized);

and the category (from Use License):

1. End User (final use);
2. Official Duty (functions legally recognized);
3. Broadcaster (radio and television broadcasting, internet, etc);
4. Pubblisher (newspaper publications, etc.);
5. Service Provider (joined providing services for business);
6. Education & Research (must be approved).

For following entry you will fit in user-id and password provided at first registration in the fields of Login menu on the left. You may consult the documentation and follow the progress of your practices through the panel Request status (by link "Stato richieste"). If you lose your password, you can utilize the link Forgotten login (or "Login dimenticata"), otherwise please contact the Climatology division.

The original data obtained through this portal, are sole rights of the Italian Air Force Met Service and of any associated national / international originator Centre and are not transferable (see Rules and issue). Use Licenses of category C., D. and E. allow release to a Third Part only processed data (VAS-B/C) and not original one.

Payment may be performed by postal account or bank transfer, at the moment NOT by credit card. Interested User can pay the amount as stated in the Proposal letter - Lettera propositiva; then send via fax, email or regular mail the documentation of payment (copy of the postal receipt or bank transfer) and the declaration of acceptance of use conditions (the attached Usage contract - Impegnativa duly signed).

The delivery will be processed as soon as possible, in any case within by law enacted. The data required and the related Formal letter of transfer - Lettera formale di cessione, will be sent via email or download (on request by fax or regular mail). In any case, the original documentation will be temporarily stored in accordance with the Italian law.
